Hilldale Golf Club, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
Hilldale Golf Club first opened for play in 1971 and was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr. It was build on land that was once a sportsman's club and owned by the famous retailer Marshall Field.
Hilldale is a par 71 course that offers challenges to golfers of any kind. Despite your skill, you might use all the clubs in your bag. Water comes into play on 13 holes and be wary of the O.B. stakes. Precise shot-making and proper club selection is required. Some holes at Hilldale Golf Course favor a fairway wood or long iron from the tee. Several holes also require positioning your shots for better angles to the green affording plenty of risk and reward opportunities to keep the risk takers happy.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6,434 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,409 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 11, a par-5 that plays to 602 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 4, a par-3 that plays to 140 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 11, a 602 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 4, a 140 yard par-3.

Great course for the money!! Greens are fast and true, and the layout is great. You have your "easy" holes, but you have more than a few you definitely have to think hard about what you need to do. Even though it is on the "short" side at only 6400 yards, strategy and the condition of the course will allow you to have a great and maybe humbling experience.

Great afternoon pricing, even on weekends. Only drawbacks are hard packed sand traps that are difficult to hit out of, and cart paths are in very poor shape. Staff is very friendly.

Challanging layout, some of the best greens , public or private in the state---fast and true. Robert Trent Jones design mixes water, elevation and sands to create a terrific course.

Great track. #2 and @11 are the best two par 5's at a single course in the state. Greens are as good as at the pricey country clubs. You will enjoy the experience. Jack Halpin Boys Golf Coach Saint Viator High School
